We always want what we don’t have, believing we’d finally be happy if we just had “that something”. Melodie Reynolds, CEO of Elate Cosmetics, would tell you that a peaceful state of happiness is an ongoing journey, not a destination. However, no one said it was easy! Including Melodie. Starting a cosmetic line of natural and vegan products was a journey she initiated in the absence of her other half, as work called for him to be on the other side of the world.
Melodie had to look within herself for a vision. Meditation helped. So did practicing yoga and stuff like getting fresh air. But so did caring for the community of woman at Younlimited. She worked towards helping women realize that they are all inherently the same… beautiful, and would benefit from working collectively. The creation of Elate Cosmetics naturally arose from the kindness, wellness, and authenticity she felt within, and was projected onto those she cared about.
