Think Dirty and Vitamin W loves awesome ladies. We want to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8 by featuring one female role model each day for a week. Each of these individuals has raised the awareness of gender issues and has done so with passion, dedication and vision. They have set phenomenal examples for young women with their own achievements.

Our countdown to International Women’s Day begins with the multi-talented filmmaker, former actress, speaker and women’s advocate jennifer siebel newsom.  In 2011, she wrote, produced and directed the documentary, miss representation to shed light on female representation in the media particularly that of american women in positions of power and influence. Think dirty members commend jennifer siebel newsom for her dedication to advocating for girls and highlighting how the media falsely portrays women.  Her film has grown into a powerful community that advocates for women – with actions such as the superbowl #notbuyingit campaign which generated 10,000 tweets protesting sexist ads.

Miss Representation will be screening at The Royal Cinema on March 6, 2013 in honour of International Women’s Day.  Don’t miss this Sundance Winner! Get your tickets at
